Volunteer Spotlight
Karen & Mike
Mike & Karen share: “We believed the Lord was calling us to a fresh start in a new church home. We visited a local church, and both of us knew that it was not where the Holy Spirit was leading us to be. We had heard about Coastal through a few close friends who were members, and we were invited to attend a special service. We did—and then decided to attend a Sunday service. We instantly felt ‘at peace and at home.’ It was obvious that Coastal was a church body that not only loved Jesus and one another but also sought to serve Him and reach others for Him.”
For about 13 years, Mike & Karen have faithfully served at Coastal, using their time, talents, and hearts to make a difference! Mike currently serves as an usher, on our Safety Patrol, and with maintenance and painting projects. Karen is returning to serve after a medical leave as a teacher in Coastal Kids Ministry and as a medical chair attendant. Together, they also love serving through VBS, workdays, and church-wide events.
Their desire to serve is simple but powerful: to love and honor the Lord Jesus Christ, to be obedient to His call, and to help bear the burdens of our church family.

“For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.” — 1 Corinthians 3:11
“I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.” — Philippians 4:13
“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” — Isaiah 41:10
“For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen.” — Romans 11:36
