Vision

Coastal's Vision is to be a church:
  • that focuses on seeing people experience life-change through the grace of God.
  • that is driven by God's heart and passion to reach the greater Wilmington area for Christ and being bold and innovative enough to do it, whatever it takes.
  • where a person with no church background can come and feel loved and accepted and enjoy the service because the atmosphere will be friendly and exciting.  The sermons will always be practical, relevant and unapologetically based on the truths of the Bible.  The music is upbeat and inspirational with a blend of contemporary and some traditional elements utilizing a praise team and band.
  • where the entire family is fulfilled and experiences God; a church where successful families are built.
  • where kids want to go - because they have a great time experiencing God's love on a level that they can understand.
  • where teenagers are shown how much they matter to God and are loved and accepted as an integral part of the church, not a separated "youth ministry" on their own; where scores of teens are reached for Christ and experience God and life-change in a dynamic youth ministry.
  • where Christians grow in Bible studies and small groups which meet throughout the week all across the greater Wilmington area; where the non-believer can be a part of a small community of people studying God's Word and, through those relationships that are developed, can come to Christ and build friendships that will last a lifetime.
  • that helps every member plug-in to serving in a part of the ministry utilizing the gifts and abilities God has given them to meet the needs of others.
  • that is involved in the local community, giving into the community through our local missions budget as well as supporting missions around the world.
